Director, Software Engineering

We are looking for a Director, Software Engineering who will lead our software engineering efforts to incorporate the latest in industry standards. We are looking for someone who has experience managing a group of talented software engineers, setting a course and direction that makes sense for our business. Requirements

• BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience managing software engineers at web technology companies.
• 5+ years of experience developing software in a variety of technologies.
• Responsible for all software engineering within the organization.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in software engineering.
• Liaison with executive management for all technical discussions.
• Provide technical direction and coaching to staff.
• Solid understanding of business development, product development, and project management.
• Effective presentation and leadership skills.
• Identify technology roadmaps, competency matrices, and core competencies.
• Responsible for managing department budgets and project costs.
• Ensure adequate resources and resource allocation.
• Align future product and technology development needs with skills & experience.
• Approve complex, technical design concepts.
• Set strategy and priority based on industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.
