Senior Database Administrator

We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator who has a proven track record of managing the environmental aspects of database systems. You will be responsible for recoverability, integrity, performance, and security of the databases. If you have experience at high volume, high transaction web sites, and enjoy working in an energetic, fast-paced environment, this is the right place for you.

Requirements

• BA in Database Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience at a Database Administrator at a web technology company.
• Install new versions of DBMS software, application software, and other related software.
• Administer DBMS security, users, and audits.
• Setup and proactively look for security loopholes and problems.
• Analyse and recommend improvements on data storage for performance & efficiency.
• Eliminate problems with database design by working with development.
• Take advantage of the I/O subsystem by modeling the data.
• Establish standards and best practices for SQL.
• Monitor systems for performance and capacity constraints.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.
